Jolly good

For the first round of voting in Australian Big Brother, the producers thought a change of voting would be a good idea.
The new system worked as follows: A voting housmate had to give 2 points for his/her least favourite fellow housemate, and 1 point for the next least favourite. In addition they had to give 2 points to his or her favourite and 1 point to the next favourite. In an added twist (it was claimed to prevent tactical voting) they only counted the votes for favourites, with the ones with the fewest votes (i.e. none) getting nominated. This resulted in 5 people up for nomination. It has been reported that the UK producers are using Aussie BB as a model for this country's show, so do you think they could adopt a similar system here? And would it be any good? |

I think this would be interesting for one round of nominations, especially as if it were done as a surprise once the housemates were in the Diary Room. It could be a good one for the first round of nominations.
Any more than that and I think it would become too much of a gimmick like the bars last year. ![]() |
