Default Italy : Another Cable Car crash: Two Britons died

Bloody Italy
yet again.

[Two Britons have been killed in a
cable car crash near Naples,
Italian police have said.
They were among four people who died
in the incident on Thursday,
which officials said happened
after the cable snapped.
Rescuers said the only survivor,
a middle-aged man,
was in a critical condition.
Sixteen passengers were helped out of a
separate cable car that was stuck mid-air near
the foot of the mountain following the incident.]

Italy has a problem with maintenance of their cable car stock, think the last one was blamed on covid and routine maintenance not being carried out due to it, wonder what the excuse will be this time

yes also happened in 1998, in Cavalese

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1998_C...able_car_crash

but that time was a collision with a military plane (which cut that cable)

i agree with Cherie in this case, could be a lack of maintenance with those cables, could very likely have been fatigue
