Big Brother punishes nominations talk

Jonty, Brian, Sam and Amanda were forced to choose between Carole, Liam and Ziggy and decide which two to nominate last night.

Big Brother called Jonty, Sam, Brian and Amanda in to the diary room, while Ziggy, Carole and Liam watched their fellow housemates on the plasma screen.

The groups were told that as a punishment for Carole, Ziggy and Liam talking about nominations, the other housemates would have to nominate two of them.

The three housemates in the diary room begged Big Brother not to force them to nominate their friends, Ziggy tried to yell to them: "Guys you're not going to get out of it."

Carole was insistent that she knew what was going to happen, saying: "I'm going to go tomorrow... I already told you this would happen."

In the diary room, Sam told the housemates: "I heard them two saying that Liam had nothing to do with it... it wasn't Liam's conversation....I heard Carole and Ziggy saying they didn't want Liam getting punished."

The trio nominated Carole and Ziggy, Big Brother told them: "You've chosen to nominate Carole and Ziggy... these nominations mean absolutely nothing." It was explained that this had been a fake nomination to punish the housemates and warn them that the rules were still being taken "very seriously".

Liam jumped up and cheered: "That's brilliant, that's brilliant news... yes!"

Why do they do such lame twists!! HAHA!! we were joking! Its fake nominations!! that sounds like kids are running Big Brother now!

they could of left telling them it was a fake for a while longer. just a complete waste of time

I agree, they should have made them pack etc. They could of even went to the point that Davina speaks, they could play "Big Brother House this is Davina, Your Live on Channel 4 Please do not swear" and then cut it off

well that was pointless,carole and ziggy wont think any less of the other hm nominating them,they`ll understand.It was totally pointless!

Very lame. Clumsy caper. I can only think that either BB is running out of enthusiasm or they're no longer hiring people with any imagination. At the very least they could have left Carole and Ziggy stewing over their forthcoming eviction contest for 24 hours. It would have wound up Ziggy's paranoia, his incurable obsession about how he's "being perceived". And it would have put Carole back into self-justifying mode. Quite likely they would have clashed over it, as they did before.

Remember her reaction when BB first called them about the rule-break - she tried to push the blame onto Ziggy. "I tried not to talk about it," she said to him, "but you kept going on and on". It's bollox of course. What Ziggy said to her was "I'm getting caned twice tonight", referring to the fact that he voted for both Kara and Tracey, and Carole immediately responded with "I am too. But only once". She made no attempt at all to avoid the conversation. So, after the fake nominations, if they'd just had one full day to work themselves up about it, we could have had an almighty clash. Who knows, it might have set off a couple of the others too. We might have had insults flying left right and centre. What an opportunity for discord and disharmony.

Instead what we got was a pop-gun with a flag saying "BANG!"

The producers are running around desperate with too much caffine in their bloodstreams and this shows.

sack those halfwits at endemol and get us tibb's crew on the job! we'll get the ratings up next season.
