X FACTOR battler Leon Jackson is set to perform a duet with Kylie Minogue — if he should be so lucky to make the final.

The 19-year-old Scot, who is mentored by Kylie’s younger sister Dannii, has won the pop princess’s seal of approval with his powerful performances and cheeky charm, The Sun can reveal.

Leon will sing Queen hit Crazy Little Thing Called Love and Beatles classic Long And Winding Road on Saturday’s show. And he needs to stay in the competition if he’s going to sing alongside superstar Kylie, famous for her smash hit I Should Be So Lucky.

A source said: “Kylie’s been watching the show and Leon’s her favourite.

“She loves his deep Scottish voice and thinks he’s a really sweet lad.

“He looks set to go all the way and Kylie has chosen him as her preferred singing partner. Stranger things have happened than Leon reaching the final.”

The pair are expected to sing Kylie’s most famous duet, Kids which she originally released with Robbie Williams.

Dannii still has Rhydian Roberts and Leon left in the competition and is determined one of them will win. The source added: “Dannii asked Kylie to duet with either Rhydian or Leon because she thinks it will boost their popularity.”
