Leona Lewis set for US success

LEONA LEWIS has conquered the UK and it looks like she’s going to be huge in the US too.

I’m told there have been thousands of pre-orders for her album Spirit in America - and the US version is not even released until March.

It’s hardly surprising when you think about the mega-moguls she’s surrounded by.

The Americans can’t get enough of her mentor SIMON COWELL and she’s also been working with music svengali CLIVE DAVIS, one of the most powerful men in the music industry, who discovered WHITNEY HOUSTON.

A source said: “Leona’s Bleeding Love video on YouTube has had millions of views after only a month and the comments on there are from a worldwide audience.

“American interest is huge and there’s a lot of excitement surrounding Leona releasing out there.

“Americans love her clean image and big ballad vocals.

“There’s even been talk of a duet with Whitney.”

In the UK the X Factor winner’s album sold more than 375,000 copies in just seven days, 12,000 more than the ARCTIC MONKEY’s Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not.

It is good seeing a Excellent UK act over there but she should really do more songs over here first. I mean she won X Factor last year and her first album has only just come out. I think this is management mess up personally get them ready for it by cracking the UK first.

I'm not surprised at all. With Clive Davis on board Leona could well be getting Grammy nominations in a few years time.

I think she's well and truly cracked the UK already.Highest selling single and album of the year in under 2 months.There will be a couple more singles released off the album in the coming months.
