Leon hopes youth will prevail
Quote:
Leon hopes youth will prevail LEON JACKSON is the youngest performer in the final three.
The 18-year-old Scot will be expecting to endure another nerve-wracking night but it will take a lot to top last Saturday's show when he made the final at the expense of dinner lady Niki Evans.
Leon, who is mentored by Dannii Minogue, arguably has the least musical pedigree of any of the final 10 acts.
He's only been singing for just under year after his mum brought him an iPod that enabled him to record his voice.
After realising he was rather handy at banging out a few notes, he auditioned for The X Factor, and the rest is history.
A black belt in karate, Leon hasn't felt the need to use his martial arts moves on any of the judges, as he has not incurred much stick.
In the final, Leon will be singing White Christmas as his festive number, You Don't Know me as his favourite and he will also perform a duet with superstar Kylie Minogue. Not bad for someone who only picked up a microphone for the first time last January.
Song list
Can't Buy Me Love - The Beatles
Home - Michael Bublé
Fly Me to the Moon - Kaye Ballard
Dancing in the Moonlight - King Harvest
Relight My Fire - Dan Hartman
You Don't Know Me - Eddy Arnold
Crazy Little Thing Called Love - Queen
The Very Thought of You - Ray Noble
