Its interesting to see what its going up against. The Invisibles hasn't been doing good in the ratings, Taggart and Heroes have there fans but I don't think they are Big Brother viewers anyway. There really is no competition for the launch maybe Katie and Peter which can easily get over 1million will be the biggest competition because I would imagine it attracts a similar audience.

I can see the launch getting very good ratings and easily winning its slot

it might win its ratings, or people will watch it on c4+1 because of unmissables like house and heroes. why are they alunching on a thursday, that seems odd

It launched on a Thursday for BB7 and a Wednesday for BB8 so it isn't odd

I would say its launching on a Thursday because on a Friday its target audience is out and on a Wednesday there is alot of competition.

I didn't realise how little competition there was for launch night, I think its going to do really well and easily get an average of over 6.5m

Its going to have some tough competition as its up against some big already aired programmes such as:

Heroes
Katie & peter:The next chapter
Bones

and so on. all of these get quite high viewing figures so is big brother pushing it again? i believe we will get the lowest ever viewing figures for the launch this year!

Heroes doesn't get that many viewers and its main audience isn't Big Brothers main audience.

Katie & peter:The next chapter is probably the biggest competition because of the similar audience but people can afford to miss an episode without missing much

and Bones I don't think that get much viewers anyway.

I swear somebody said that BGT has been extended and so will be competing with BB launch. Im so glad its untrue and hopefully BB will have a dream launch this year.
