Cheryl Cole has said that she is glad Javine Hylton did not make it into Girls Aloud.

The public voted Sarah Harding into the group ahead of the singer during Popstars: The Rivals in 2002.

According to 25-year-old Cheryl, they made the right choice.

"There's no way this band would have worked with her in it ... But even more than that, I just can’t imagine this band without Missus Hardcore (Sarah Harding) here!" she told Attitude.

"Oh my god. We really, really would not be here now. Having Javine ... alone could have made us finish," added bandmate Kimberley Walsh.

The band have really good chemistry, and I fail to see how Javine would've fitted in.
Also with the media attention for stealing Alesha Dixon's husband and stuff, it'd been difficult to see how the band would've made it through.
Javine just comes across as too different from Girls Aloud. They'd probably have a more R&B sound to suit her voice because I couldn't imagine her singing Sexy... No! No! No! or Can't Speak French.
