Default Tonights best.

Consistant With both songs in my opinion Ruth was by a long way the best tonight.

Alex's second was amazing but her first was average the same with Diana.

Eoghan done pretty well, and Jls done ok but neither were touching ruths performance.

Ruth has good charisma and great stage presence and obviously a world class voice.

Ruth was easily the best tonight but lets be honest there wasn't much competition.

trouble is Ruth shouts through chorus's not sings them.

Alex is a class well and beyond the rest without her Ruth being average was good enough to beat the rest tonight.

However that says more about the poor competition it consistantly hinges on average to woefull.
Tonight I could not even hear Eoghan sing above the choir of others in his backing group...JLS have one good singer and 2/3 poor ones. Ruth's shouting would work well leading a big football crowd but not a stage.
As for Diana ...I'm convinced she is a set up and each week I simply expect someone to say she was just a joke entrant all along...she is to singing what I am to suduko puzzles when I'm 3 parts p*ssed........ completeley out of my depth.

In my opinion:

Alex: She done good on both songs. I was surprised she managed to pull off "Toxic" cuz it's quite a hard number to do. She wasn't amazing, but she held her own. I didn't know the second song, but she blew me away with her vocals on it. She's in a different league to all the rest.

JLS: Seriously? "Hit Me Baby One More Time"? Oh dear. I know it's not easy finding a Britney song for a 4-piece male harmony group, but they really didn't do that one justice at all. They could have been given far better material for their second song. A whole genre to choose from and Louis chose that! He has ****ed it up for them - big time. It's time for that old fart to retire.

Ruth: Her first song was more "Joan Jett" than Britney. When Britney did that song, she did it with sultry vocals. I wasn't impressed with Ruth's version. She gets far too shouty in her songs, and that puts me off a lot. I think she has a good voice, but only for a certain style of song, and not one I'd be likely to buy.

Eggnog He was completely useless. First he made a total balls-up of the Britney track, then when he came out with that HSM number, I was in shock. I actually covered my face. I couldn't watch. It was a train-wreck! He'll have lost a lot of his tweener votes with that performance, cuz he just murdered it.

Diana: I dunno where to start with this one. Diana came through the auditions and I was impressed with her. I thought she was quirky and very original. I liked the tone of her voice and her singing style. Then came the live shows, and she's no longer original, she's contrived. She's become a parody of herself. She overdoes the whole thing: the image, the expressions, the singing style. I haven't liked a single one of her performances since the live shows started. I thought she had so much potential, and I actually don't know how it all went so tragically wrong, but it did.
