Default My mum wants another Child :/

Oh God.

Screaming children, Errr no. Haha. I asked her why she was having one now, and not when me and My brother were a bit younger, so it would have someone to play with. She said "Because now i have a built in babysitter". Great. She wants a girl and is eating all of this weird stuff, at weir times, because apparently it increases your chance of having a girl

I have 2 little sisters (Aged 3 & 8) and a little brother (Aged 11).

I love my youngest sister to bits. I have her as my phone wallpaper.

I personally am at an age where I don't want a younger sibling now - I used to.
By the time the baby is born I'll be on my gap year and then at uni :S. It'd be like my parents bringing up a different family and I wouldn't have the same connection as I have with my younger sister Mia. Does that make sense?

There's a 12 year gap between me and my older brother; we get on great but he doesn't really feel like a brother to me, he's married now and is always away on amazing holidays because his wife's parents live abroad so they're always over visiting etc, I never really see him anymore. If your mum does have another kid Lewis, I dunno if it'll be the same as my situation, but you maybe won't "connect" in the way that you do with your brother.

I think you should be supportive of your mum. It will be good for you as well. You will get more responsibility within the family as your parents will need your help.. I hope she gets her little girl.

That's what I was trying to say. If my mum had a baby now it really wouldn't be like a "proper" sibling to me.

Yeah, like me and my younger brother said to my mum 'if we weren't his brothers we wouldn't be invited to the wedding' and she went absolutely mental; we were just saying what we felt, because we really never speak to him or have anything in common with him, but obviously she reacted in that way because we're all her children. My younger brother is 4 years younger than me, but he's a school year ahead of what he should be so he's grown up faster than he probably would have, so we have a lot in common and get on really well/have epic fights. That's what a sibling should be like, in my opinion, someone who can be your worst enemy one minute and be your best friend the next; not some stranger who's a decade older than you and shares no memories with you until you're old enough to read and write, y'know?

I would have loved to have a younger brother or sister, up until a few years ago I always 100% would have loved a little brother or sister to just have like a best friend. Now I'm 16 I'm not as bothered and it wouldn't really happen now anyway

But Lewis, I think you'd make a great big brother and just support your Mam is she wants a baby, cause if she does fall pregnant she will want you around to help her especially when shes like 8months gone!

I think you'll all adjust to it pretty quickly.

I also think it's nice that she's included you and your brother at this stage by letting you know she was trying for a baby.

And finally, I think she's incredibly brave, cuz my kids are 11 & 8 and there's no way I could go back to it now! lol
