Default Lack of advertising..... theories???

Whats peoples opinion on the lack of advertising this year?? Im guessing that theyre keeping a low profile because theres going to be something REALLY major on launch night which will grab all the headlines anyway, so theres no need to advertise. Whats your theories?? please discuss.....
Also, is there no swimming pool this year?? Coz that usually keeps people watching doesnt it?? Knowing the chicks will be wearing next to nothing and who could resist tuning in 24/7 last year to watch a topless Dale swimming??

Its advertised a lot more than people think ... its on the music channels in every ad break, people generally only watch a few minutes of those and channel hop

they dont need to do alot of advertising now
its series 10 people either love the show or hate the show at this stage
the people who love the show and always watch know when it starts

yeh sounds like they obviously know who their audience is and are carefully targetting their advertising towards them

Advertising isn't just on the TV, they've been on the front pages yesterday, and no doubt tomorrow (speaking as though its Wednesday) plus a 20 page pull out in Heat and Davina is on Chris Moyles which gets about 8m listeners ... plenty of alternative/free advertising ... even though TV advertising hasn't really been at its greatest its probably still on for 5m+ and a lot more is happening than people realise

The lack of advertising is down to the fact that they're just going through the motions to fulfill their contract with Endemol.

I watched C4 for about 3 hours last night and I didn't see one advert, just a few eye flashes
The advertising has been very poor even when taking things like Davina interviews and Heat magazine into consideration when comparing it to previous years
Advertising in prominent on the music channels which will attract the younger viewers but there should be more focus on C4 advertising to those who might watch the launch if persuaded rather than young people who have already decided whether to watch

To be honest I think the advertising this year has been kinda poor this year. The eye flashes and the countdown ads have been good but ask any random person on the street when BB10 starts and they mightn't know.

I think it's pretty simple, C4 have no money whatsoever.

TBH everytime if've switched on to a C4 ad-break in the last week I've seen 1 or 2 at one point, at the start and end. They're more frequent than you think

If that was the case then surely they wouldn't bother to advertise it at all?

Which is why they should broaden their advertising field to target a new audience therefor getting a lot more viewers.

1. They don't bother about the show anymore, they're killing it slowly even thought it's their biggest revenue.

2. No money to invest in ads because money is needed elsewhere.
