The only thing I can think of is the money wasn't right for Miss Wales but was enough for Imogen BB7. You have to remember this guy still lives in Imogen's home town and had to weigh up the financial gain against the shame of selling out his now famous ex-girlfriend. I am told he still gets a frosty reception from the people back home.

I think you said Imogen should have known "the tape was bound to come out into the public domain at some point" when in fact Imogen thought she had destroyed the tape herself and did not know her ex-boyfriend had made a secret copy for himself. I understand now that you were initially misinformed about the date of the video and perhaps you are right about her being slightly foolish about making the tape in the first place. But in no way could she have known after destroying that tape that it would resurface six years down the line on some internet porn site.
