It's refreshing to have a merge ep where, like, half the tribe could feasibly go and the edit makes a decent job of making the case for each (even if we're to believe that Luzon believe Katinka Of All People to be the kingpin of the majority alliance, lmao)

I sooooo wish Tom had gone ep 1 now instead of Seamus, his aggressive approach towards strategy is really aggravating me. I'm worried for our Palesa </3

Chane going out was wonderful, so much bitterness in her. She calls Tom a leech while sunbathing lol. If she didn't want Tom to use the idol she should have kept it herself lol.

And it carries over to both Vusi and Palesa, it's like in typical BB style they reinforce each other's limited view. At Ponderosa Vusi was saying how sad he was about how the tribes were done and that he wasn't around some 'cool' people, lol. Two out one to go, Palesa next hopefully. She said in a hilariously over the top voting confessional that every molecule in her body hated Tom. Those three will probably look back embarrassed.

I don't think they'll be embarrassed because next to Marthunis Tom is probably the most difficult person to live with out there? Like, Annalize and Werner literally said in the merge episode that he's annoying but they'll tolerate him just so he can vote with them. Obviously Palesa and Chane and Vusi handled him badly but let's not act like they're bad people for calling a spade a spade.

This season is... taking a turn but it's still 100x more palatable than any of the four most recent US seasons, so I'll happily stick with it

I'm not even that upset really? Chane was fun but we still have Toni and PK and KATINKA who I've grown to love lately and Palesa and even Werner is palatable for a predictable and strategically dominant winner. I appreciate everyone left so I honestly think I'll be fine no matter which way the season turns out.

We don't deserve Palesa, such a scream to watch, the way she cackles at the stupidity of others (aka Tom) <333

And PK has become a star as well, Tevin going really brought out the icon in him

I hate that Werner is pretty much locked in for the finale tho.

Marthunis was completely different to Tom, he wasn't that interested in the game and really had no alliance. I don't remember hearing Tom say bad words at anyone, in contrast to his adversaries. I think Palesa was just annoyed Tom got the idol before instead of her, and with Chane that he played the idol for himself and not for her (confirmed by her saying it twice, at Ponderosa and her final voting confessional). I don't get the appeal of Palesa, I heard a couple of people elsewhere say she was 'bae' but that's it. She was good at getting clues early on and that helped her get a following.

I don't even know why I'm taking this up but it's entirely possible for someone to not say bad words about other people but still not be likable and actually rather grating. Tom was a nuisance from the get-go and he's been in a precarious spot all game because he's a lot to handle and his allies tolerate him at best. Look at how he yelled at Ace and Palesa and Vusi after the rock draw or how he shouted to Chane that she needs to give him HIS IDOL after the balance beam challenge even though she was the one who grabbed it.

Anyway, I'm 5 minutes into the new episode and Toni has been dragging Katinka's name through the mud relentlessly

I finished watching it a bit earlier and enjoyed it. Toni was into the blindside talking about losing her friend (with lots of glancing up at PK), Tom consoling the sad PK. Palesa had considered blindsiding them with the idol but got blindsided herself. Her position was just too bad and the plan to get sympathy information from Tom wasn't that convincing, maybe he realised it could mean an idol and potentially himself going home.
