I don't want it to end, ever. I don't care if it's messy sometimes, it's just that I love this show a lot (ok they can scrap CBB I don't mind). The possibilities are endless when it comes to content, entertainment, mixing characters etc... I take the show for what it is. The old days are gone, we all had time to adjust I guess.
But if it's the last series, making it All Stars from C4 and C5 and call it a day. Don't leave on a regular BB, go with a bang and go crazy on everything. Make it count for good (ie don't make it super short like UBB and throw 20 housemates in hoping it would be phenomenal)

Well put and my sentiments exactly, although I'm here for CBB as well

The amount of money that it must cost them to do two cbbs a year when they’re hardly ever good outside of the one or two novelty housemates, they could just put it all into a long and relatively traditional civilian series to keep it fresh and amazing

My thing with CBB is that to me it is less genuine than the civilian one. Somehow they all know each other, they are all "acting" to what they think the public would like them to be until they eventually become more real. And 4 weeks are not enough for all the characters to open up and display true evolution.
Take this current series for example, they are all there due to some "storm" and they got into arguments (OK, Natalie started them) about what they did or did not do, and their reputation.

Civilian BB is really the ultimate social experiment, even though it lost its spark for more "reality tv" scenes. But eventually it had to happen because young people now know reality tv, they were born in it, they know what works for the cameras. I believe up until BB7 people were more clueless about it.
And it's not just the UK. In France we face the same thing, and new shows like Love Island or more scripted ones took over.

Anyway, don't cancel BB!

It's weird how C5 seem like they would rather keep CBB than Civilian BB, when the latter is so much more budget-for-money. It's slightly less viewers ofc, but there is no massive fees to get HMs to appear.

People keep saying scrap one CBB to save money but the reason they do the summer CBB right after (or this year, right before) is because all of the production is already in motion therefore it works better for them due to economies of scale for hiring, etc.
