Tho as far as climate change I sort of agree, warming is inevitable, question is by how many degrees. Either way some costal areas are screwed so I wouldn't buy in Florida for example.

Yes, to be fair, unless there's catastrophic climate change to the point where human life literally can't survive (which is actually quite possible), then I suppose total human extinction is unlikely. Small pockets of survivors would probably continue on. Even if it became unsurvivable, it's possible that we'll see it coming with enough notice (and far enough into the future tech wise) for huge bunkers or orbital platforms to be built to live on.

But at vastly reduced numbers, probably back to at most millions globally rather than billions. The really bizarre thing is... even if 99.99% of the human race died out there'd still be 7 million of us, which wouldn't even make us an endangered species. 99.99%!

However, that would be a totally different sort of world to the standing-room-only one we're discussing.
