Four people shot dead at Carl Cox gig

Four people were shot dead and nine injured by a gunman during a Carl Cox DJ set in Caracas, Venezuela on Saturday (November 3).

Cox was headlining the Red Noise event at the La Rinconada Terrace venue when, ten minutes into his set, a gunman opened fire in the audience.

Police are yet to release details of the shooting, but the incident is thought to be gang-related. Video footage of the shooting has begun circulating the internet.

Cox released a statement, which reads: "I am deeply shocked and still stunned by the events of this Saturday. My condolences go out to victims that were caught up in this horrific act. I am informed that it was gang-related, and feel so sad that anybody would act in such a manner when the event was full of 7000 people having fun."

You can hear the gun shoots clearly, so why did none do anything or say anything for like 3-4 mins? Surley someone would of seen something?

Maybe they thought it was fireworks or something? It does seem to take time for them to realise what has happened, and you start to hear screams. The thing is, a lot of the revellers seem more intent on viewing the carnage rather than legging it from the club. I would have been straight out of the door!

Yea, the other thing is you can see the people who died laying on the floor (with people not exactly rushing to help) and you have some wombles takeing pictures and filiming them, yeah because it's a real Kodax moment that
