I loved Alice I use to find her so funny. Like when she should have that messy asparagus psychic on nnnn. She had the last laugh though sis is on c4 presenting a show with a chance of a future

to be fair BOTS peaked in 2012, I realise I've said this countless times but it never recovered when they tried to make it more "upmarket"

I think that's what he meant, he said it came back too soon after C4 axed it and it should've had a rest, and viewer fatigue is why the ratings are down

tbf 2012 was the best year for the show (in terms of quality) since like... 2006? It all went downhill after that

Yeah, 2012 is easily the best year of the show (on Channel 5) in terms of consistency of quality between the series, whether the production values of the time helped that at all or not... personally I think only 2017 comes close?

He's right. Viewers had grown quite bored with the format when C4 ended it. Channel 5 only increased that ten-fold when they started banging out 3 series a year.

Omfg, I'm listening now and he said in the early days of channel 5 they had "Bobby Brown in the dressing room on the day of the launch but, due to reasons we can't go into, he ended up not going in".

I wonder who was his last minute replacement. Probs Jasmine Leonard. I still refuse to believe she was ever a first choice.

The guy he's talking to has good ideas.

Needs to be rested, if it comes back it needs to stand out again by stripping everything back and also changing every facet of it. Brand new location, format, presenters etc.

I agree. Remove all of the bells and whistles, stages, lights etc and go simple. Maybe even make it a completely pre-recorded series without any viewer interaction, just the housemates playing the game.
