The Who Killed Tom King? plot came to a close on Thursday 17 May 2007, when the murderer was revealed. Emmerdale gained an average 8.6 million viewers, which peaked to 9.1 million viewers when Tom's son Carl confessed to the murder, between 7pm and 8pm. EastEnders could manage only 4 million between 7.30pm and 8pm.

I loved the Richard Hillman storyline. The Mad Maya one was also great too. Both of those storylines gripped me to every episode. The latest David storyline is a complete let down.

In the Bowmans years ago the actor that played Old Joshua Merryweather was unceremoniously sacked from the cast of the the show and killed off. The producers thought they could get away with this until the protest letters flooded in from the listeners and he has to be written hastily back into the scripts as he long lost twin bother. On the actors return to the Bowman's studio, the now star of the show, is bent on revenge and has all the cast killed when old mine workings open up in the village green the rest of the cast fall in the hole.

And Richard Hillam so was he.
Dirty Den's Murder was good too and I cried my eyes out when Trisha died in Emmerdale. =(

2) Little Mo v. Trevor, and the resulting explosion where Tom died too - Eastenders
3) Trisha's death and the New Years Eve storm - Emmerdale
4) (Don't know what it's called) the pub explosion in Hollyoaks - Russ' girlfriend dying was really sad...
5) Janine killing Barry Evans in Edinburgh (EE)

Others include the explosion where Steve Owen died (EE), the holiday in EE where Irene, Frank, Pat, Peggy, Roy and Terry went, but Irene never came back... oh and Stella bullying Ben, but I partly enjoyed that
