I'm still not entirely convinced he is gay , he talked in riddles . maybe it's just that type of conversation that makes him feel prudish. He could be from a traditional family . Unless he's still confused? .

Surely he's not that stupid & naive ,he knows his DR moment WOULD get shown . He never came out the closet though , he's still trying to be vague . I don't know if it's to do with his age or because it's his game plan stategy.
