Default The whole game theme this series is not working

I'll be honest I loved the first week it seemed fresh and from night 1 was pulled off really well.

BUT...

Week 2 isn't having the same affect (for me anyway). It seems very cheap and like old school channel 5 BB, what was with the ball pool ffs make an effort with tasks like they did with the mine....The conversation is based around the task so don't make the task ****.

It seems they have turned BB into an ultimate game this year when Channel 4 have stepped it up with a much better game in The Circle.

Just watched both and Channel 4 are winning in the way of creating an entertaining show and im expecting them to over take BB by Friday.

Im much more interested in seeing who is going to walk into a contestants apartment on The Circle than who gets evicted to the rent a mob in BB.

I feel like a Judas!

Its really not.

And its not second hand its literally a far better version of BB which Channel 4 have been looking for for years and have really pulled it off.

Even Channel 5 have tried to replicate BB and those shows not surprisingly turned out ****.

Ahem...10,000 BC anyone?

Its been boring since Sunday tbh its not just based on 1 task though if they have a task which is supposed to last all week and have some over the top title then they need to put in the effort and make it entertaining.

Its not just the tasks its the cast...They are mind numbingly dull.

I can see this going nowhere I like both shows and seeing as ive watched BB since July 2000 im able to say that this series has become very boring and not being executed well.

...Waits for The Circle to have a task where contestants have a fight for ULTIMATE POWER....In a ball pool.

Oh sorry their production is far to superior to resort to that....ZZZZZ.

This season is good.

Although you are right the Circle is superior, but thats nothing on this seasons of BB. The show just has lots of ideas and really works. Its why its viewing has been consistent/growing slightly the past few days

Plus, the tasks are the best they’ve been in YEARS. Even last year the game changer wouldn’t be anything more than the winner being the housemate who worked out who the most negative tweets and bitchy comments are about.

Dude I said I watch both and as a fan of BB since day dot I have the right to express my opinion and a lot of people are saying this year is boring to.

Im only mentioning the circle as its on the original channel BB was broadcast, is scheduled as a competitor in the same time slot and comparing the production of both shows.

Its relevant.

Great production for an awful cast they can’t do anything with

I could make like the other 600k viewers over this year and not bother but I love bb and it’s the only thing I watch oop I really do wish they’d just do 6in6out or something tho

Being opinionated does not make a fan ridiculous its what a show needs to give it a kick up the anus.

The fact BB had to tell the housemates to do the task twice tonight because production didn't explain it to them well enough the first time was embarrassing...And took up a chunk of the episode.

I really agree with this. After the really good CBB, this is a washout due to the choice of housemates.

The production has been very good, the tasks, twists and they have tried to mix it up more this series.

But there is no diversity in age or experience, they are bored 20/30 somethings with little life experiences to talk about. Talking about explicit sexuality again and again does not make it interesting as Lewis F commented or interesting viewing.

My issue is with the scheduling. I still really like Big Brother but after watching it for 18 years I find it much more difficult and much more of a chore to have to watch it every night for 6+ weeks. I would personally prefer 3 or maybe 4 one hour summary episodes a week with the option of a live feed and much more frequent daily videos posted to the website to get more info about what's going on in the house. I know that I would probably be in the minority with that opinion on this board though.

I think that the game changer thing is really a cheap rip off of the US Veto competition. I really wish they'd get back to how it was, where they had interesting enough housemates that you could just watch them without constant twists and turns. I mean, an occasional twist is okay, but it shouldn't twist so much that you lose the original value of the show.

I'm also watching the Circle. I'm not so sure about the production or cast, but I do find that I'm actually more interested in the Circle this year, than Big Brother.

Personally, I think it would be more entertaining to have the Circle cast playing Big Brother, and the Big Brother cast playing the Circle, as the Circle's cast seem to have more interesting personalities.

i'm really enjoying the tasks and they are showing the hm characters well. They have also generated natural conflict which is great to see

It was a classic BB USA task tbh, which is what they are copying with that whole Gamechanger thing anyway.

Plus, the Gamechanger isn't about the game they have to win, but about the power that comes with it and as it was a hot mess, it really ****ed with housmates minds. Akeem cheating proofs that.

The series needs some new housemates to freshen it up more.. Big Brother 7 is still the best ever series compared to this

Unless some housemates are mentioned, I never know which one is which.
