Default Housemates in Barnet may be fined!!!!!

Just read in today's paper that the Borough of Barnet may be fining its residents up to £1,000 if they fail to place paper, cans or glass in ordinary bins instead of the recyclable ones provided.

There are going to be squads of recycling assistants out on bin day checking on the contents of the bins and if, low and behold, there is nothing in the recycling box then the 'guilty party' will get a knock on the door and possible follow-up legal action.

So our H and P better get their act together and sort out their rubbish cant have them appearing before the Magistrates can we. Though if they need any legal advice .............

You really do worry too much BB!

We've got an extra wheelie bin each for putting the cardboard and cans in round these parts.

Just in case we are too thick to work it out, they have proded a sliding scale thingy to check which bin to put everything in. I think I can just about grasp the concept, however, can think of plenty of households I have visited in the area where placing rubbish in ANY bin would be an acheivement!

Who is going to knock on the doors BusyBee!?!
I know the next thing you'll be telling us is that you are changing your job and becoming a recycling assistant

Well how could you two disbelieve me. I can assure you this is a completely true story. Barnet is testing it out for the rest of the country. And as for the change of job, anyone want to join me?

Still at least it would be a proper reason for calling, not like the visit ROB and I were going to make as needy, cold, wet, collectors for a needy cause hoping that we would be invited in for a warming cup of tea.lol
:blush
