It's always the case they are excluded from noms the first week...giving them time to 'settle in'..which I guess is fair because they would be an easy target for the 'originals'.
They do get to nominate which is slightly unfair bearing in mind they have probably been watching the show and made their minds up already...but that's based on highlights. I don't think they should nominate based on that fact alone. They should be given more time to get to know the housemates and make their decision on what they see rather than just the highlights.
