I was watching an old episode of America's Next Top Model the other day with my sister.

It was the last show in the series I think and one of the contestants made a comment - "as long as a black girl wins this show, I'm happy" - and nobody batted an eyelid. I must point out that this girl was also black.

It got me thinking, if that was a white girl who said - "As long as a white girl wins this show, I'm happy" all hell would break lose, she would be called racist and probably kicked off the show.

Is it okay for some people to make these sort of commets, and if so why?

yep your completley right.
Its a total disgrace but unfortunatly thats the way society is,let black people say what they like about white folk but turn it around and slap bang you`ve got the 'racist tag'

I hate it when that happens!! it's soo annoying cause it always happens at school and no one cares!
i think it's cause of like the way white people used black people as slaves and how black people get the racism so you can't say stuff liek that..

Chris Crocker actually made an interesting point on this. He was implying about the N word only allowed to be used by black people.

"Don't call yourself or anyone in your family something that your not OK with everyone else calling you. And don't say only black people can say that word, because by saying that your putting a stamp on it, and making it exclusive."

Arghhhh, that pisses me off so much!

It was like in CBB5, Jermaine Jackson called Jade and co. white trash. Now I don't like Jade or want to defend her, but then in BB8 Nicky said that if you call someone a black bitch, then its implying that they are a bitch as they are black. Well then isn't white trash implying that they're trash because they're white.

Good point Arneldo. I mean imagine a white person honest to god saying I would love a white person to win I'm A Celeb . . . they'd be slaughtered!
