Default The reason for the lack of Saturday shows

So at the start of this series when we realised there wouldn't be any highlights on Saturday's, a lot of the fan sites said it wasn't necessarily a bad thing and that the reason would "become clear". What was it?

Yes because that's the "it might not be that bad, the reason will become clear" reason I'm sure they were on about

Well done on making the predictable post

The reason that became clear is that if the regular shows could barely muster 600k, the Saturday shows would have dragged the average down even further

It really isn't that complicated

In which case, they needn't have bothered having episodes on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday etc, etc...why not just one episode a week?

You clearly don't remember what I'm talking about. Almost everyone was annoyed with the decision (despite conceding that it made sense ratings wise...you don't need to point that out), but the fan sites implied there was a specific, positive reason for it, and it can't be as basic as "it won't drag the average down". Hence the thread

Oh I assumed it was because they were extending the Sunday show.

It was so they had more time to manipulate the highlights

Probably because they knew they couldn't fill another full highlights show with the housemates they put in.

It was just the fansites trying to make out like they're insiders and above the rest of us as usual... they've been doing it all series and looks like it's going to continue after the series as well...

I didn't mind the bumper Sunday edition format. Not much can happen on Fridays anyway, what with them all getting ready for the eviction

The first few series had a psychology show on a Sunday. Maybe it was interspersed with highlights from Saturday, but was mainly psychologists analysing the week's events

In a word....Boxing.
Ch5 have Saturday night boxing throughout the year, this year some big fights clashed with B.B. so they ditched the Saturday night show.
Could be wrong mind.

So that live feed test was legit then! Seemed like that was the reason, don't understand why it had to go so hush hush after the fact though

At least Endemol tried ah this series would've been so good with feeds
