WTF why? When Donnie has been drop kicking him on twitter for over a year? Why resign now?
Will Trump now hire one of his hacks to gut the Muller investigation? He can now Sessions is out of the way

CNN are reporting Sessions was fired. Bold move Donnie. Is there gonna be enough opposition to stop this? Donnie has already bypassed procedure and instead of promoting the deputy who very much supported Muller he's installing the Chief of staff who has been very vocal in his support of Donnies stance. I. This is such an obvious move and if Donnie gets away with it then he'll turn the USA into a dictatorship

Comes at no surprise, obviously, but the timing is salacious.
Is he anxious about the Mueller investigation? There was a rumor he was ready to announce, but he was waiting until after the mid-terms to release anymore details. I'm not saying they are correlated, but that will be one way of looking at it. It may be true as well Trump was waiting until after the mid-terms, so him kicking the pink slip at Sessions at this point is a no-brainer. Maybe he made a promise to wait until after the elections. I'm not sure he should've kicked him out right after the mid-terms. But maybe, he is trying to stoke the media since he knows they have tended to draw the most outrageous conclusions from this. It could also be strategy. It has worked in the past. It's good for Jeff Sessions, because he won't be seen as a Trump bestie given the instantaneous resignation. So that will save him the ritual ridicule from media & pop-culture. |

he was asked to resign by Trump, and the letter had no date on it, so Trump has probably been sitting on it for a while. Interestingly, the word on the street is that Jnr is about to be indicted so that could explain why it's being used now.
