Jade, 26, had been sent an invite but a PA called her on the day and said the event, at London's Novello Theatre, was "oversubscribed".
Newly-single Chanelle, 20, was in a car on the way to the theatre when she got a call telling her not to bother.
An event spokeswoman said: "The night was for a different class of celebrity. It was unfortunate an invite was sent to Jade in error and the situation had to be resolved.
"We had organised an earlier event that they would have been welcome to attend. But Thursday's premiere was for real stars." Miaow!
