'Rehab' singer Amy Winehouse receives six Grammy award nominations
Troubled Amy Winehouse has received six Grammy award nominations, including gongs for song of the year, best album, record of the year and best new artist.

The nominations for the 'Rehab' superstar, whose erratic behaviour has recently threatened to eclipse her music, were announced today at the Henry Fonda Music Box Theatre in Hollywood.

Winehouse has been behaving increasingly bizzarely since her husband Blake Fielder-Civil was jailed while he awaits trial on charges of assault and attempting to pervert the course of justice.

The 24-year-old was spotted last week stumbling around at 5.40am in chilly east London, wearing just a bra and a pair of jeans and mumbling incoherently.

She has also been snapped several times with a mystery white powder smeared beneath her nostrils.

The singer cancelled her remaining tour dates earlier this month after claiming she could not continue without her husband.

Fielder-Civil, 25, is in custody in Pentonville Prison until a further hearing in January.

Rapper Kanye West is the only star with more nods than Winehouse as the 50th annual Grammy nominations were announced.

West has a total of eight nominations from his latest album Graduation, which sold nearly 1 million copies in its first week.

The rapper has also had a difficult year and been mourning the death of his mother last month, following a plastic surgery procedure.

Five acts received five nominations each - rock band the Foo Fighters, rapper Jay-Z, hip-hop producer Timbaland, pop singer Justin Timberlake, and R&B singer T-Pain.

Nominees for best album include Foo Fighters for 'Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace,' Vince Gill for 'These Days' and Herbie Hancock for 'River: The Joni Letters.'

The nominees for song of the year are 'Before He Cheats' performed by Carrie Underwood, 'Hey There Delilah' by the Plain White Ts, 'Like a Star' by Corinne Bailey Rae, 'Rehab' from Amy Winehouse and 'Umbrella' by Rihanna.

Record of the year nominations went to Beyonce's 'Irreplaceable,' the Foo Fighters' 'The Pretender,' Rihanna's 'Umbrella,' Justin Timberlake's 'What Goes Around Comes Around" and Winehouse's 'Rehab.'

The 50th annual Grammy Awards will take place in Los Angeles on February 10 next year.
