My Father always said Heseltine was the best leader and likely PM the UK never had.
I admire him. This seems petty. Really as to Brexit there should be no whipping, it should all be free votes. As for the ballot box, I'd guess others in the Conservative party will do the same. At least he stands by his own feelings and belief. Rules are rules I guess but this seems petty. |

MPs on both sides of the house are breaking rules over brexit.
Conservative MPs are whipped to vote to support Theresa May's agreement with the EU. At least over 30 break that instruction. They aren't punished. Neither should Heseltine. As I am sure other Conservative grandees, and maybe even Conservative MPs will be voting for that other party in the EU elections. Especially with Theresa May clinging on humiliatingly to her position as leader and PM. |
