Got to say, while there are individual nutters, like the one who shot Jo Cox, the Left demonstrating and it getting messy is far more accepted and widespread. They tend to daub stuff on the Cenotaph, throw a fire extinguisher off the top of Conservative HQ... If the right march they tend to just march.

The far right are another subject all together, but thankfully they're small in comparison.
