Free-capitalist martyrs . If anything it's a crime that they pay any tax at all.

Oh, didn't y'all know?

The world would be a better place if no-one had any money, and if we all lived off government rations and lived in shoe boxes assigned to us by Big Brother.

Creating wealth for yourself (and others!) will not be tolerated in Oceania!!

Yeah those silly little cucks right? They're so stupid haha you get 'em kid. They'll see the light eventually and maybe if they're lucky gain some of this real-world no-nonsense right wing economic insight and they'll be better off for it I say.

If anyone is even vaguely bothered to read something evidence based or academic instead of right wing social media ramblings:

https://www.imf.org/en/Publications/...spective-42986

"If the income share of the top 20 percent (the rich) increases, then GDP growth actually declines over the medium term, suggesting that the benefits do not trickle down. In contrast, an increase in the income share of the bottom 20 percent (the poor) is associated with higher GDP growth"

There is vast, widely available, and ample evidence that aggressively reducing the tax burden on the richest people in society does not stimulate jobs or growth, but in fact results in increased amounts of money being stored in off-shore tax havens and removed from the economy entirely, causing it to shrink. This has been studied. These are facts. Trickle-down economics was debunked literally OVER 100 YEARS AGO but there are still people on here talking about it like it's obvious and logical.

To generate jobs, income, AND profit for the company owners, the optimal path is increasing consumerism and consumer confidence. You do that by pushing as much money as possible INTO THE HANDS OF CONSUMERS so that they can go out and spend it on the products and services that the mega-rich create, and so that they have to employ people to supply those services. You don't do it by skipping the consumer economy middle man and putting it directly in the offshore pockets of the already rich. It's not clever, it's not logical, it's ****ing stupid, and if you don't believe me, please SOMEONE do some actual reading on the subject.

yes he is disliked by other party leaders but so were some of the Labour PM's such as highly controversial Den Uyl

but overall i like Asscher, he can have good debates against our current PM Mark Rutte, let's say he isn't like Corbyn, and he almost has a similar attitude/voice as Boris in your country has in political debates, in parliament and in tv debates
Corbyn is down with the kids too... he regularly attends music events and draws support on environmental issues is passionate about schools and universities. Campaigning and creating policies against poverty, and austerity is better than skateboarding with those already trapped in the cycle.

If companies' running bills increase too much, they'll raise prices and possibly even lay off staff to compensate. Firing people from their joe-jobs and having expensive products isn't beneficial for the average person. Maybe there's some truth to the IMF claims, but there's a balance.

I've read it.

“Much better left alone,’ chimed in old Jack Linden sagely, ‘argyfying about politics generally ends up with a bloody row an’ does no good to nobody.”

That bit I agree with.

Shame it would benefit you, those who cannot holding a carrot and stick for those who can? ... thought that would be right up your street, oh well.

that wouldn't get votes from the youth, rather more votes and support from golden dawn neo nazi's who are out of greek parliament but it's commonly known that they want to globally expand, so i hope they won't read any of this about Corbyn oof

The really bizarre part is that increasing wages hand in hand with increasing prices is a fundamental measure of GDP and economic growth, it's baked right into the whole thing. And wages are assessed and increase based on the cost of living. But now people are arguing that we should want to provide tax cuts to rich service providers so that they start offering their services more cheaply (until they eliminate the competition, of course then they can creep the prices back up), reducing the overall cost of living, and undoubtedly slowing down income growth. I'm pretty sure they call that a recession .
