Rhydian Roberts' dad: Rhyd thinks he was stitched up
Welsh blond is disappointed and angry Rhydian Roberts' father Malcolm says he wasn't able to vote for his son on Saturday night - and he wasn't the only one.
'Most of Wales couldn't get through,' he claims.
'Rhyd is not a bad loser but he feels the same as us about the result and we think it's a fix. He's disappointed for himself and his fans.'
Yesterday media watchdog Ofcom had received 80 complaints, this evening the organisation had received 700. It has launched an investigation into the matter.
Talkback, producers of The X Factor, say lines were blocked temporarily simply because of the volume of calls and there was no rigging.
Soon before the voting lines closed, host Dermot O'Leary announced that there was only 1% difference between the number of calls for Leon and Rhydian, but Leon is now believed to have ended up with a 10% lead.
'You never know how the public is voting and that aspect is out of my hands,' Leon, 18, told LBC 97.3 today.
'You never know what is the truth.'
Rhydian is so upset that he didn't attend the show's wrap party in Soho last night, reports London Lite.
Simon Cowell has kept well out of the debacle - he is now holidaying in Barbados.
