Oh also...
 ... turns out that a couple of the poor students in the SeeD class aren't real students - they're painted onto the BG! And, they're painted on in deliberately crappy res so that they wouldn't stand out against the old crappy res sprites. So now with the new sprites, they look deformed. Heh.
