...so these could be false imprisonments also, is that what it is..?...a man saying that he was falsely imprisoned for 9 months and made to work..?..no charges against him or his wife were ever heard in a court...?...

In China it could be that fella,
dissed the Government online.

In China that's not permitted
never be rude at the Power.

Are we avoiding the UAE too.. the popular holiday destination?

As arista would say ' sign of the times' there's more places becoming human rights adverse than ever. It's just more overt in China than other countries...like here for instance we as a western 'democracy' are shocking. I know this will prompt the obligatory ' if you don't like it leave' comments but it has to be said.

Why are people buying Christmas cards from China anyway? Not very environmentally friendly, having your "charity" cards flown half way round the world. It's not hard to check where your stuff is coming from. It's not like we don't produce perfectly good cards in the UK. But if you want to pay peanuts, then someone's getting paid peanuts.

unless something is escaping me, they are charity cards, supposedly contributing toward charities. Why in that case, would people be picking the cheapest cards possible, ensuring the charity gets the minimum possible
