Does she have to have been doing this on a regular basis for this kind of abhorrent behaviour to require consequences?

Drink and drugs aren't an excuse either.
I’m not saying she is right for hitting him or she should not face punishment.

What I’m saying this is not years of abuse it’s one incident that we know of, people making out she is a serial killer.

Also the police officer clearly Was laying it on thick, he was not repeatedly bludgeoned to death and she then cut his head off and ran round the house with it.

He walked out of the house.

Walk around with a nose bleed and you will get blood everywher.

I want equal justice for all not a show trial for the papers.

Who's made out she's a serial killer?

Also, the police officer was "laying it on thick", do you know something nobody else does?

If you attack your partner, it's domestic abuse, it doesn't matter if it's just the once, it's still domestic abuse.

Honestly, people downplaying domestic abuse just because the genders are reversed sickens me, it's why so many people suffer in silence because they know people like you exist who will try to downplay their suffering or vindicate their abuser because the domestic abuse doesn't fit their image of what domestic abuse is.

The fact you seem to think you know better than the police who attended the scene is laughable. You have a limited understanding of what domestic abuse is and you obviously don't like the facts of the trial so you're trying to twist them into a narrative you prefer.

Explain.

Domestic abuse is not a one way street, it affects both both genders, all sexualities and all forms of relationships. The truth is that your attitude as well as the attitudes of other people in this thread who find this funny or not at all serious would not think the same if the roles are reversed.

Being scared to be in your own home and around someone who is supposed to love you because they hurt you and you don't know how to escape that situation or if it's even possible, is not a joke and anyone can find themselves in that situation, anyone.

You are so tedious in your attempts to undermine me as a person.

Do you know my life and what I’ve been through?, no.I be been in many violent and very bloody situations.

I’ve been charged with attempted murder by shooting some one, I’ve had so much blood on my hands when it dry’s it sticks together.

I’ve seen people get stabbed.

And yes I’ve also been someone who has been attacked by a partner who was also the mother of my child and offered victim support but I don’t need the victim label.

I’ve been in many a police station and gone through the system.

On the other side of the fence have a friend who is ex transport police who has a 300 pound a month pension from the police, who was dismissed after lying for a fellow police officer who kicked a homeless man to death.

You don’t know me dezzy you just think you do!

It's not about you, don't be so self obsessed as to think that everything I do centers around you. I disagree with the things you say and I'm ****ing allowed to so grow the **** up and be less sensitive to people disagreeing with you.

The not guilty plea is ridiculous considering she blatantly hit him.

She needs to disappear from the media world for at least 2 years. Have a break. Do something else. She said she would make a programme about twins ages ago because she has a twin sister. She needs to steer clear of love Island and all that shallow nonsense. Laura Whitmore is a better role model for Love Island because eventhough most of the contestants are twats the presenter needs to set a decent example. And she has a good relationship with Iain Sterling.

"He had been asleep and had been hit in the head with a lamp"

It takes a pretty messed up mindset to clobber someone in their sleep.

I refer to this video. When I indulged myself in the tripe that was the Jeremy Kyle show, I don't remember anyone laughing at a woman who went through abuse. Yeah I know there's different audiences but it illustrates the point that there are people (hopefully a vocal minority as opposed to a majority) who don't take these crimes seriously

i'm talking more about the myth that men who are accused of domestic abuse/rape/etc. against women are usually committed or punished when that's just...not true lmao

& the "if the roles were reversed comments" type comments enforce that

If someone is asleep in bed and is attacked with a weapon then it has to be GBH or attempted murder for me.
If you are miffed then by all means bang a few doors or have a good shouting match.
At most give him a slapped face...and be prepared to get one back.
