Big Brother winner Cameron Stout will be in Keith tomorrow to officially open the new Scottish Tartans Society shop.
The Orcadian will cut the ribbon at the premises on Mid Street at 11am, before being given a guided tour of it and the proposed unmanned tourist office in the building.
Shop manager Linda Gorn said that a problem with obtaining a building warrant meant they would not be able to open to the public for between four and six weeks.
The shop has previously traded out of premises elsewhere on Mid Street.
After cutting the ribbon, Mr Stout will be at the Scottish Tartans Museum, which will be open free from 11am to noon, to give the public a chance to meet him.
Mrs Gorn said: "Although we are disappointed that there is an unexpected delay in opening the shop, it will enable us to open the museum earlier than expected.
"This will hopefully give a much-needed boost for tourism in Keith."
