Rape charges against former EastEnders child star Devon Anderson have been dropped. Anderson, who played Billy Jackson, was arrested in July after a girl said she was raped by two men at a house in Headingly, Leeds. The 19-year-old actor and a friend spent a night in custody before being released on bail. West Yorkshire Police yesterday confirmed no further action would be taken against them. Advertisement Anderson played Billy between 1993 and 1997. After leaving the soap, he had roles in the CBBC sitcom Kerching and the Spice Girls movie, Spice World. He also played Sonny Valentine in Hollyoaks but left the show almost a year ago after a row over timekeeping. |
