We already know there are incarnations prior to Hartnell. The Brain of Morbius depicted 8 faces prior to him.

That has since been debunked by never having been mentioned again. Doc One said he was "the original, you might say!" in Five Doctors, and anything following Morbius basically confirmed the Doctor started with Hartnell.

Maybe the other faces were Morbius' previous incarnations, or a glitch. Whatever they are, they don't seem to be "canon"

I don't think "confirmed" exists in Doctor Who. It changes its canon almost as much as it changes Doctor and companion.
