Yes, exactly the same Alf.
Where have I accused Schofield of anything? Why are you lying?

Where did I say YOU did?

No ammi it’s simple, one person has spent 27 years living a lie, that mean his whole married life has been a lie.

He has done an interview in the sun saying he knew he was gay when marrying his wife, so it’s not gossip it’s what he has said.

Only one victim in this case and that’s his wife.

What makes you think she feels like a victim? For all you know it could have been a wonderful 27 years for her.

In the 80’s when Phil was on his 20’s gays were public enemy number 1, aids had just come to light, gay people were seen as dirty blights one society, institutions and the media were allowed to be openly homophobic and treat gays like second class citizens, they were murdered, they were harassed, they were bullied and they were chastised for being who they were, are people really surprised that in that day people were in denial about who they were and tried to surprise that part of themselves? If it wasn’t such an awful time for gays back then, there would be an awful lot less stories like this one.

I wouldn't react like that at all. I'd support him in any way I could because I love him to bits and I know he loves me. If he was up for staying together but didn't want the intimacy then I'd actually consider that. Don't assume you know what people would think or do.

Leave it out!

Who do you support the liar or the person being lied to?

So Steph should be great full for all this years of living with a liar, Steph deserved to be with a man that was truthful and honest from the start, not someone who has now ripped her life apart.

I don't tbh, it's a private thing. He's done the coming out bit now, which is a fair enough thing for someone of his profile needing to do it in his own words rather than the papers telling the story for him.

But in regards to how he's dealing with his private life and his family etc I'd rather it stay private and in public he just gets on with his presenting gigs. It's already bordering on tasteless giving an interview to the Sun of all rags imo.

Get real, he could start a gay relationship and you could stay as the cleaner.

Clearly he don’t love you to bits if he is gay, he just been lying to you and himself.

Because if he loved you that much he would stay with you and not go down the gay road.

...this isn’t a ‘blue corner’/‘red corner’ situation, Sheriff...’support’ only really applies to their support group circle of family and friends...they’re the only ones with any familiarity of their relationship ...

I agree, for someone who would have had Hillborough families on his sofa as well, I find it a particularly odd choice of paper to give his story to

See you can’t give a straight answer.

You wrap everything you say up in cotton wool.

As a woman you can’t even consider what another woman must be going through after her life has been turned upside down by a man she trusted.

Whatever the lie is about it’s still a lie.

One truth is worth a million lies.

If a friend said she was miserable everyone would assume it to be true though, why not assume something good instead?

No, what she's doing is not assuming she knows someone's life better than they do.

But do go off.

...there is no cotton wool involved at all...I just don’t assume to know what another woman feels about something so entirely personal to her and her life...
