I may need to read the thread to get context but from that snippet you posted that's what I get from that.

Default The tortured final weeks of Caroline Flack

On the evening of Dec 11 last year, Caroline Flack, the popular TV presenter,
and her boyfriend, Lewis Burton, a former tennis professional,
enjoyed a romantic dinner together at the Soho restaurant, Bob Bob Ricard.

To the other diners present the couple appeared happy, carefree and
engrossed in one another's company.

Despite Flack's chequered relationship history, and the fact the couple
had only been together since July, friends of the 40-year-old were
becoming increasingly confident that she had finally found the man she would marry.

Professionally, things were also in the ascendancy, with Love Island -
the reality show she hosted - enjoying runaway success and about to launch its first winter season.

But within a few short hours Flack’s life had unravelled and a chain of
events began that would ultimately culminate in her tragic suicide.

n the early hours of the morning, while Burton was asleep, Flack began
examining his mobile phone, becoming enraged when she discovered text

messages that he had received from another woman.

The exchanges - which involved a woman in her 60s - were entirely innocent,
but Flack, who had battled depression and anxiety issues, exploded, convinced Burton was cheating on her.

Launching herself at her still sleeping boyfriend, she hit him over the head with
a table lamp and threw his mobile phone at him.

After flipping over a table, Flack also cut herself on a glass, receiving a deep
wound to her arm.

Burton, who is 6ft 3in tall, was unable to restrain his 5ft 3in girlfriend or calm her
down, and at 5.25am made a 999 call asking for the police.

He told the call handler: "She tried to kill me, mate. She's going mad, breaking stuff.
She almost cracked my head open."

The call handler noted that in the background, Flack could be heard screaming: "You ruined my life."

In a sign of just how seriously the report was taken, the first police officer arrived
at the flat in the Barnsbury area of Islington, within eight minutes.

The door of the ground floor flat was answered by Flack and Burton, pictured below in a
previous Instagram post.

According to the officer, both were covered in blood.

In his notes the officer likened the scene to "something out of a horror movie".

Flack was still extremely irate and had to be restrained by officers, who were
fitted with body worn cameras recording the whole interaction.

Flack was arrested on suspicion of assault and paramedics were also called to the scene.

After assessing both of them, it was decided Flack ought to be taken to hospital
for treatment to her wound.

While under caution she allegedly admitted the attack and told officers that
she would "kill herself".

Apparently when Chris Evans Married Billie Piper , people were shocked.

It was Billie Piper being with a weirdo like Chris Evans that shocked me more .But she was 18 when they married.

On what basis are you judging Chris Evans being a wierdo?

Isn't this the type of language we should ALL be reigning in a bit because of what happened with caroline flack.

All of a sudden you're the language police now , my judgement is from how I've seen Evans act . Plus not long ago wasn't he in hot water over his behaviour.

The comments made about Caroline were quite disgusting. All over social media, here on the forum.... people said spiteful, despicable things, but now everyone's sorry. It makes me sad.

I'm waiting for the first one to say they had her on their deathlist.

You ask people to show respect, and in the same post blame other people for her death, as if you know that's a fact

Whilst I get what you're saying... The hypocrisy of calling people out for trying to start petty arguments, whilst... trying to start a petty argument... is not something I can really get my head around.

An awful lot of hypocrisy and holier-than-thou attitudes flying around on this thread to be honest. We're on a forum for reality television fans, ffs. We may have varying leg lengths, but not one of us has two full legs to stand on here.

I have two strong legs that I stand on every day.

Members didn’t have a good word to say about her in the assault cases but now she is dead they think she is a beautiful person.

No one here has a leg to stand on in calling out others for engaging with celebrity culture "good and bad". Apologies if I needed to be more specific?

We're all Big Brother fans and Big Brother was a HUGE part of the rise of modern "celebrity culture". We've all been on threads, sharing our opinions, about countless people. It's literally what this forum is FOR. I'm not saying if it's generally an OK thing to do, or if it's generally wrong, that's another thread for another day really. What I am saying is that we're all on different decks of exactly the same boat and no one can really claim otherwise.

I can't ever remember anyone calling a Big Brother housemate a paedophile and getting away with it. In my opinion the Internet, including this site, gets more vicious every year.

Some members didn't have a lot of good to say about her....most people in the assault case thread actually condemned the assault as a domestic abuser is a domestic abuser regardless of sex and status and that is what a lot of people were commenting on. There were a few that discussed her as a person but a lot were more focused on the case and many didn't comment at all so tarring everyone with the same brush is quite a sweeping statement.

People will always feel sadness when someone they feel they know dies - some will have that sadness tinged with guilt for sure but they should not be condemned for voicing their grief.

Your last sentence though is very sadly true, lots more families will have to face the struggles Caroline's family are now facing.

I still can’t get over this. I’ve grown up watching Caroline, I remember when she first did TMi with Sam & Mark, and she’s pretty much always been on TV somewhere or other ever since. Kind of like Stephen Mulhern really

That poor woman honestly. And to think who knows how different her life could’ve been in a few months. It’s so sad

Moderation is far more lax because forum membership has dropped significantly and because the remaining mods are burnt out. I'm not convinced we WOULDN'T have been the same as we are now in previous years, had we felt we could get away with it, which we now mostly can and do.

er lets not forget that this woman tried to kill her boyfriend in the dead of night (his account) over nothing. She was going through his phone at 5 am and flew into a murderous rage and could not be controlled by a man of 6 foot 3. She took her own life rather than face the consequences of her actions.

If I go back to Danny Dyer (as a white old straight man that Tibb generally would not favour) had he done this to a girlfriend I do not think we would be seeing members say "poor man" or writing poems/saying prayers for him?

Do you?

Very overly simplistic; she was clearly suffering from complex mental health issues and that's what caused the initial incident, and eventually lead to her suicide.

But the fact that she was clearly unstable is really exactly why the press should have backed off a bit.

That said, I will be honest and say that I think you're right; a male celebrity who viciously assaulted his girlfriend and then went on to commit suicide would not have anything like the same support/grief as there has been with Caroline.

Of course that doesn't mean it shouldn't be there in this case; just that people should always view these situations with more nuance.
