So as we are in isolation, and to stick with my original plan of spreading the polls throughout the year to avoid a mass spam of them in December, I present to you the launch of TiBB Ranks: 2020 Reality TV!
Once again I’ve slightly changed the format, it’s still only the 3rd edition so I’m trying to find the perfect way to do this. Here’s a summary of the main changes;
- It’s all being hosted on-site. For 2018 and 2019 the preliminary rounds were hosted offsite but they just don’t get the reach. I’d get 8-10 off-site votes, compared to sometimes over 20 on-site ones.
- The preliminary rounds are no longer sorted by show. It was a good idea in theory to get equal show representation, but I’d end up with 3 race across the world teams in the final when maybe 7 love island favourites didn’t make the cut - it just doesn’t seem right.
- I’ll be splitting the contestants by gender from the start this year. Again, it was frustrating just having females in the final when I know there’s popular male contestants so hopefully this will encourage a more even split throughout. They’ll now compete in Male, Female and Other (including groups, teams, drag queens, masked singers and non binary contestants)
