You carry on being as rude and patronising as you like then cherie, I'm used to it.
Fact is when or if the advice changes there will be those who toe the govt line just because they've been told to regardless of whether the government themselves are following expert advice. This is not an admirable trait in anyone imo.

It does, however I do not believe for a moment the reasoning given for the rethink on herd immunity, that the lockdown is impacting on the poorest in society and that's seen as a negative let alone the reason for a rethink?...
Nah, I don't buy it, from the designers of austerity which impacted on the vulnerable like a virus? Nope.

Well no their own reason would be to protect their own interests (as always). Nevertheless, when economies shrink or worse, crash, it is the poorest who suffer the most. That much we do know, from all across history.

The advice will of course change at some point there isn’t a lot we can do to help the situation apart from adhere to the advice as best we can, if you want to ignore that kizzy that’s up to you of course but when all this is over at least those that followed the guidance can say they tried to save lives in this small way and that really is an admirable trait

Emoji wisdom cherie?
As a key worker I do follow the advice thank you very much and resent your implication that I personally haven't. ..

Get some perspective, I commented on an article showing a handful of kids with no garden having a kickabout, calm yourself.

I’m confused, so it’s not admirable to follow government advice but you are a key worker and you do lol

Garden or no garden there is a way to exercise that will not further the spread of the disease and endanger lives

I'm a key worker and I have to yes, not that I think there is anything admirable about this govt at all tbh.
So kids running about is ok as long as there is no ball involved...got it.

Kizzy, you are being argumentative on purpose, and it's a forum so we have to expect that, but you know fine well what the government guidelines are and are deliberately winding people up on a very emotive topic.

Show me where I said the government was admirable?

And as for the ‘no ball thing’ once again you haven’t got it at all, so there seems little point elaborating any further

I posted a newspaper article and had an opinion on it,I'm getting a bit sick of seeing you try to police the debate, please stop.

I'm not being drawn out by you any longer, you are becoming increasingly insulting. I've stated my opinion.

If I were a key worker and had no choice but to go to work, I wouldn’t be advocating people stretching the rules, we can be like this for a few weeks or a few months the choice is really up to the general population as to how long this lasts

Well you're not, just trying to be objective for the kids with no garden as I said earlier. You've made your point clear.

I thank my lucky stars every day that I am not and neither are any of my family, I do however have many colleagues who have been redeployed from their usual roles to work on Covid Wards in the NHS, and they are traumatised by what they are having to face every day as well as trying to juggle their other commitments, I have a colleague who has been redeployed contact me on Friday to cancel something I had booked for him as he is suffering breathing difficulties, there are many people on TiBB who have to go out to work every day and put their health and their families health at risk, so I don't care if these kids have to give up playing football in the streets with their mates for a few months.

I really hope he is ok, also his partner who I believe also has it or is recovering from it.
