Going to an enclosed space with loads of people is asking for trouble as the concentration of virus will be much higher than in an open air space

I think its right that people are concerned at least a little, because that's how they will help protect themselves and others, but other than that, there is nothing to be gained from over anxiety
I was just looking for an article on this I saw last night about the initial viral load.

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/h...-a9451101.html

I'm still a bit confused by how that impacts on passing the virus person to person...Does the initial viral load mean that the person that infects you has to be at a certain stage in their infection and the viral load is so high that there is a much reduced chance of you being able to fight it off?

Or, that it's the overall amount of the virus you are exposed to, as in many different people at varying states of infection?

My anxiety or panic disorder that I suffer with is mostly health-related so it’s through the roof atm with all of this.

Panic attack symptoms around the clock in different forms, to the point where I haven’t been able to gulp a drink for over a week because my throat feels like it’s constricting. Horrible.

It basically the concentration of the virus that you breathe in or get on your eyes etc. This virus hides itself from the body for quite a while so it can be some time before your body starts to fight it. If you get a bigger load of the virus, it therefore has more of a chance to take hold within you and do damage before your body has a chance to defend itself

I'm not sure about the various stages of infection and how contagious each stage is, i think they are still trying to work that out

I mean I'm pretty sure I have it but not personally scared of it (with mild symptoms because aside for about 2 days about a week ago where I felt like I got hit with the worst flu, I've mostly just been stuck with a cold/cough & some fatigue since then)... but worried/scared for my uncle & dad who both have it confirmed and been in the hospital for a few days now trying to get better and stabilize their breathing. I'm still trying to not only quarantine in my house but away from the rest of my family as much as possible so hopefully no one else gets it in the case that I do have it as well.

Right, when I think 'viral load' I think how concentrated the dose.. as in 1 droplet of fluid, say from a cough from someone infected for say 2 days would be less dangerous a dose as an identical size droplet from someone infected for 9 days?

Should you come into contact with more than one person at differing stages what happens then? Even if they are both so early in their infection they are asymptomatic many would be too compromised by this to fight it at all. :/

I'm staying indoors , I was already self isolated so I'm not worried about myself. I'm more concerned about idiots who go out without wearing gloves or a mask .

And I heard a disgusting news story about a vile scumbag spitting in a police officer's face saying "she hopes he catches the virus" . What a horrible person, how would she like it if she gets it .

I think I may have the virus in a mild form. Not sure tbh. I was overly hot last night..
Still am and have slept all day today. Feel exhausted.

Did you see the NHS staff , they have the full suit and everything to protect. I know they're most at risk . But if you're going out without protection then you're also at risk.

This isn't a joke, people are dying literally ! .

You could have post-viral fatigue, the cough persisting after the virus has cleared (for several weeks) is apparently very common. Official NHS advice is that you're not at risk of infecting others after 14 days have passed from symptoms starting, so long as you don't have a temperature. You can actually return to work (those who even still have work) with the cough. That comes directly from NHS occupational health.

Obviously it's fine to be as cautious as you want to be, though.

I think there are(and has been) a few strains if this virus.

Chances are imo most of us are immune or have had it earlier in december before it mutated...

I pray it don't mutate again.

The covid-19 was around in December , but we were not aware of it until the outbreak in January.

The problem is there's always been weird bugs and flu going around, but it makes you wonder as the covid-19 symptoms are very similar to other virus flu's .

Hopefully once you've had it then you're immune, or maybe some of us are already immune .

Either way precautions are important, and this social distancing needs to be taken seriously .

The NHS staff are getting up close with patients, you should be 2m away from the person next to you when out

They have to get close as they're treating the patients, hence all the equipment protection gear they're wearing.

Problem is not everyone is following the 2m rule when they go out galavanting, I know most people are listening though.
