Default #ClapforBoris 8pm tonight

Is anyone doing this? It seems to be trending all over social media as a support for the PM.

I'm in 2 minds about it, I'm all for supporting the PM but the more the claps happen the more it devalues them?

Realistically we never needed to clap more than once, so no.

Not specifically for boris no but all victims, it's a full moon so an outpouring of good will is an excellent idea.

The moon was INCREDIBLE last night, I'm really hoping it's clear tonight, might set up the telescope.

However we will quietly look at the moon and ponder, we won't be clapping or drumming on tupperware. I've come to accept that if it helps people at all to do these things, then they should by all means go ahead... but it's not for me personally.

We noticed the moon last night it was amazing, and tonight is said it will be the same,so will be looking out for it and yes we will probably cheering and clapping as the children find it fun so it takes their mind off things a bit, also its a chance to see the neighbours.

What has Boris done that’s particularly heroic or worthy of admiration in the same vein as nhs workers?

Tbh he has had a tough year as prime minister and during this pandemic we need a strong prime minister to help get through it

Don't. .. it's a can of worms.

My Facebook feed is a no go area atm, I'd be lynched if I spoke my mind on this one publicly

i do actually agree on this one. Every human life lost is a tragedy, they all play a role within their family unit. I don't honestly know why people are continuing this clapping ritual because it lessens the perception of appreciation for the NHS

I hope he pulls through, the same as everyone who is suffering at the moment, but is this really the guy that deserves applause?

Considering all the ‘put them all together and refuse them medical help’ comments all over the internet about the Joe Soaps not social distancing, it’s a bit of an response to a man who willingly, publicly, and proudly flaunted all of his own rules to a ridiculous level.

I hope he gets better, but, clap for a man that did this to himself and probably passed it onto others? Makes no sense

People keep acting like he said this two weeks ago - when he made that comment we had 51 cases. We now have 55,000

Obviously in hindsight it looks stupid but let's not act like we were all practicing social distancing back then or appreciated the importance of it. I also fail to see how it should disqualify him from receiving a show of support when he's critically ill in hospital

This sounds nice

It's crazy to me that someone of his stature is struggling with this when he's probably getting top-of-the-line aid (and is fairly healthy?)
