okay this has gone on long enough. Three songs tied here, so I have decided that the song with the most "top placings" (ie members who put them first) gets preference. The countdown goes as follows (I'll just do it in one post because I'm not THAT extra today)

In 10th place...
Spoiler: In 9th place... Spoiler: In 8th place... Spoiler: In 7th place... Spoiler: In 6th place... Spoiler: In 5th place... Spoiler: In 4th place... Spoiler: In 3rd place... Spoiler: In 2nd place... Spoiler: And the winner is... Spoiler: Thank you to all that voted at any point during this competition. I had a feeling at the start of the game that "Pure Shores" would win the whole thing, but the polls for the Quarter and Semi Finals had me second-guessing that eventuality. It won in the end, though, and it's a fantastic winner to boot. The soundtrack to "The Beach", it picked up an Ivor Novello award in 2001. Funnily enough, those complaining about Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" only JUST scraping into the 2010s and therefore winning the 2010s edition of this game, will be delighted to learn that this was only the sixth different UK #1 of the new Millennium, peaking at the start of March 2000 ![]() |
