I'll definitely research the candidates for an 80s edition but I'll need a while to sort out all the groupings and videos of that, etc.

Hopefully there aren't too many "...what the hell is this?" moments when looking over the list.

OK so after chopping the one-off charity covers and re-releases of songs dating as far back as 1957 (Jackie Wilson), there are 180 unique #1s from the 1980s and I'm mildly pleased in that there are probably only about 30, at most, that I do not know or recognise by name alone. So I'll arrange those into 9 rounds of 20 and get going in the next few days.
