Surely it’s pretty much a non story now Boris has spoken with Cummings and made a decision.

Far from it. If anything Boris has made it 100x worse. People are out for blood goi by Twitter and other platforms. Furious.

I saw some guy on another forum saying that it’s hardly a ‘thing’ on Facebook this evening .. I have no idea if he’s right as I don’t use it .

How did Boris make it worse?

He addressed the issue, if he didn't then people would complain that he was 'ignoring' it

The fact that he stood by Dominic only made me respect him even more

Tbf very few people use FB now....this will rumble on for days, its in everyone's best interests...the media will sell papers, the Gov can mask any undesirable stories with it, the opposition can make noise and get their voices heard....its stupid, every headline, column inch and news bulletin on this detracts from the fight against the virus. Cummings should, or the Gov should have made him, resign and let this non story story rest

Default Coronavirus Outbreak

An interesting take on things ...

Given both Cummings and his wife had symptoms and their son has autism I think it’s perfectly understandable that they wanted to me be near his family in case they were both too poorly to care for the boy .. I understand that they both did get very poorly as it happens but we’re still able to care for him themselves.
::::

Cummings youngest lad has autism. The guidance for children with autism changed on the 9th April see below. My son has autism and if was in the same situation as Cummings then i would have done the same. No ones mentioning this !

I didn't know about these rules re: if the kids have autism

So actually he didn't break the rules at all then...

Shame this hasn't been spoken about more

I didn’t know his son had autism but I did know about the changes made regarding people with autism and mental health issues.

Knowing that his son has autism I’d back him in his decision.

If the child had special needs, i'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned by either side up to this point. I would expect that to be the first thing mentioned

To me it makes no difference, you do what’s best for your child.

The idiot that broke the rules so his bit of fanny could come over rightly resigned and should of been prosecuted.

Yeah regardless of when those rules were 'set' it doesn't make a difference, he probably acted in the way most parents would in that situation

Where is the proof that the son has autism? It’s just a claim I see his supporters desperately making everywhere, but no actual proof.

Not that it would justify travelling all that way with the virus anyway.
