Heard some guy on LBC say that the NW has the highest new infections rate in the UK ... . I’m sure he said the figure was around 3,000 a day ??

yes Spain has excluded 1.900 people from their deaths total, after more carefully reviewing their list of deaths, and came to conclusion those people had not died of covid

i'm sure Belgium will do the same too given they also put every death now listed as a covid death (also normal pneumonia deaths) so those will be excluded later on at some point too

3000 infected = (approx) 21 deaths so it's (relatively speaking) not all that high.

The current (supposedly) correct total for the US is 99,805 according to many sources. Though different US sites are listing different numbers, which doesn't help.

TBH I suspect they've started doing a China. I don't think they're reporting fully. The per day figure dropped suddenly, coinciding with the desire/drive to end lockdown.
