Are you seriously in favour of any government being able to just answer what they want? Take Cummings out of the equation.

So Hancock has said that they’re going to investigate all fines for similar things Cummings did.. they really are trying to rewrite history to protect one man.

Maybe it is best for kids to go to school, before the Tories burn all the books

yeah why go for the easier option, when you can do the difficult one to protect the saint top advisor

also this just shows elitism within the Tories even more, how far they go to protect their own

Only 401 hospital admissions yesterday, the lowest since mid March

and 2,004 infections ...all in the NW ( for Zizus benefit)

what he actually committed to was talking to the treasury department about it, which basically means nothing. He is the health secretary

So surely by committing to investigating these fines, is basically an admission of guilt on behalf of the government, like why would they do that, if they don’t recognise that what Cummings did was unfair and wrong?

Do you think the cummings thing will be the lasting judgement on how the government has dealt with the coronavirus?

It would be tragic if it were, they have done so well in all this, all things considered. I think I was sitting here last month looking at figures in the thousands of the people who had died that day. All the measures they have put in place both financially to support the workers that are furloughed or the Grants for the self employed(the money thrown around has been extraordinary)..but also the strength they have given us and the hope and belief it will eventually be over has kept us all going. They actually for once treated us like adults and humans and seemed to believe in us as a nation to come together and on the whole the were right.

It’s scary up here in the NW !!

Confirmed cases in our little town ..

639 up to 24th April
653 up to 1st May
725 up to 8th May

So the infection rate was ‘increasing’ even before the restrictions were slightly lifted ..
Now our schools are welcoming back many more pupils next Monday !!

The number of tests carried out were increasing though so the numbers were always going to go up. Salford Royal was hot hard at first but has had a couple of days with no new deaths and the same with Manchester NHS....it is still bad up here but the NHS trusts in the North West are doing a brilliant job.

Exactly, it’s the numbers being admitted to hospital is key and that is the lowest itsbeen since mid March

It’s funny how people continue to TWIST what someone actually says to fit into what they thought they said and spread the new version all over the place

At around 4PM today
Johnson PM is due in front of a Select Committee
