No-one here would say that fighting fascism is a bad thing. But where is the fascism? It's not in the stores that get smashed up or the building that get torched. Unless they're going to use their violence against valid targets, they're terrorists.

If you’re against facism then you’re antifa, antifa isn’t about rioting and violence, antifa is a belief and imo, a moral obligation to be against all forms of facism, seeing some people doing some bad things and blaming an entire movement is counter productive and kind of proving their point, Trump is using a word he has no understanding of to try and shut down people who directly disagree with his politics, ironically strengthening the reason for antifa in the process

Antifa is a movement, not a frame of mind. It's the branch of the movement who escalates peaceful protests into riots that people find repellent and that Trump wants to brand as terrorists, not every single person who's against fascism.

Yeah it’s a movement, like BLM, a movement without a leader and without a hierarchy, some might get violent, but it’s not the main aim, the main aim is to protest against facism, trying to get it designated as a ‘terrorist organisation’ is in direct conflict with the first amendment and is a blatant power move by a leader who abhors people that doesn't agree with his politics
