First of all, it's not BB if it was filmed several months ago. But even if I let that slide, because a lot of crap is going on in the world, let me unwind and watch some BB.

I'm sorry, but this was a really weak first episode, and I'm debating watch the rest of the season.

When BB9 came back after a long hiatus, the launch was wonderful, and it was a nice welcome back.

However, after another hiatus, the same can't be said. This launch was really rushed and poorly edited. I didn't like how they would spend twenty minutes showcasing the first few that came in the house, then spend like five seconds if even that, on everyone else after.

I'm also really upset,
Spoiler:

that Laura was the first to go. I kinda related to her the most, oh well.

Probably not gonna keep on watching, but yeah.

Agreed. Still have been wanting some BB fix that isn't American or Canadian. Will give this a few episodes and see how it develops.

The live aspect of the show is what makes Big Brother the show it is.

Also, any members interested in being able to watch BBAU 2020 shoot me a PM.

The edit makes it very predictable who is going home as well, both times now they have had an OTT edit

I can't get over how outrageously irritating Allan is.

Spoiler:

That was better episode, not gonna lie. I wish they cut out the music though.

Allan must be really embarrassed now
Nice to see the obvious evictee STAY! Kieran is such a nice lad and is given hell for wanting to stay, like wtf. But the housemates came through with that good choice!
Angela is our messy queen, we can only stan.
And now BB is throwing more people in...but we don't even know all of the ones in the house!

Hannah thinking Talia is a stripper

Talia is the villain and Sarah is a sheep and can't read people right.

Ooof at that elimination order and 3 people of colour evicted. Not a good look for the housemates.
There's a good article about it there: https://www.behindbigbrother.com/202...-bias-problem/

But at least Kieran and Angela were safe, they're the best ones in there tbh

I don't think we've seen enough to determine any race issues in the house. It probably is mere coincidence. One of the issue with this format of Big Brother is that it's heavily edited and vast ranges of time are condensed. Nothing like the daily show we're familiar with where we get to see more. I'm skeptical about how much of this series is even real (this article doesn't help either). Pre-recording allows for much more control about what we're seeing. It's not even a day or two - we're talking months.

I haven't watched episode three yet and don't have an opinion on Soobong, but I guess I know how it ends already. Laura and Allan were just overall irritating. Laura's VT was super annoying. I'm not surprised either of them are already out. I guess so far I would say this series is predictable.

Alol @ us being 3 episodes in and not a single white person has been evicted yet. This show is a parody of itself.

Angela is amazing casting Just hope she doesn't fall victim to the obvious boot order

Talia, Dan and Sarah are vile.

Feels like a very heavy handed edit, it makes them one dimensional.

Jealous girl
Pretty girl
Guy who is basically just challenge threat - awful gameplayer

I liked the new HMs coming in at night, the crane seemed pointless though. The challenges are ok, but they only have a HoH, no veto competition.

An eviction per episode? What kind of mess is this? How many HMs are there?

The editing can go both ways. Either it's a pure coincidence but it still looks shady from a viewer perspective, or conversations about race were really an issue to some of them and it still looks shady.
Anyway, it doesn't look good though the housemates had "real" reasons (threatening, irritating etc.) to evict them.

So far it's an eviction per episode, currently there are 17 housemates left and 21 episodes to go. 3 make it to the finale.

And the challenge winner nominates right after! They should let them strategize a little bit. I see where they're going with this, it's not purely strategic but mainly social.

But they really need to improve the editing to make the housemates more deep.
I mean, right now Kieran is the outsider, Daniel the fragile bro, Talia the bitch, Hannah the IG influencer look-a-like, Angela the queen. We don't know the others tbh

I've watched the first 2 episodes and really enjoyed them! Could someone tell me where I can find the 3rd one? I looked on the Channel 7 website and it literally spoiled the next episode for me smh (and also y'all need to put more spoiler tags).

I really like Keiran and Angela. Also, I think the editing is so obvious, and I think that the diary room sessions and Sonia asking questions before the eviction hints far too much to the contestants to form a narrative, like can we let it just be more natural. I don't know if episode 2's eliminee would have even been evicted without the question session.

Enjoying this so far. Very far from the BB we know though and the editing is questionable. Angela is slaying. Please can people hide spoilers! Ta.
